Irrigation Assistant Job Overview

The Irrigation Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Determining hydraulic parameters to optimize irrigation systems
  • Implementing irrigation-related programs to ensure crop health and productivity
  • Scheduling irrigations to maximize water efficiency and minimize waste
  • Supervising irrigation system installations and maintenance to ensure compliance with industry standards
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • AQF Certificate II in Horticulture, Viticulture, or a related field with at least one year of experience
  • Practical experience as a farm worker in the Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry
  • Ability to operate a wide range of farm and plant machinery, including tractors and pumps
  • Knowledge of agricultural production principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A valid driver's licence
