Communications and Community Engagement Specialist

This role is focused on public affairs activities that contribute to shaping Council's position with the community and stakeholders.

From managing traditional and social media content and engagement to monitoring community sentiment, this position will play a crucial role in improving the connection between Council and the community.

The successful candidate will have experience in similar roles and demonstrated communications capability, enabling them to translate complex information into publicly accessible content.

  • Experience in journalism, communications, public relations or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality communications materials.
  • Good understanding of public affairs, media communications and stakeholder engagement disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of social media and digital platforms.
