Classroom Support Assistant

The role of Classroom Support Assistant involves providing assistance to teachers with a range of duties, including supporting the planning of student routines and assisting with communication between teachers and parents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing routine support for teachers in the classroom
- Supporting communication between teachers and parents
- Communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
- Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students
- Communicating with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
- Addressing immediate behavioural presentations in the classroom
- Providing basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students in the classroom
- Supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs
- Providing medical intervention support to students under specific conditions
- Providing specialised communication support for students and teachers
About the Role:
This is an ongoing part-time position working 3 days per week. Hours are 8:45am - 3:30pm.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be assessed based on their ability to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks, as well as their capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment.
