Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Disability Support Specialists, providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support participants in accessing the community and engaging in social or recreational activities.
  • Promote client choice, control, and independence in all interactions.
  • Monitor and report on participant wellbeing and support needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
  • Ensure supports are delivered in line with quality and safeguards standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in disability support or a related field (preferred).
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overnight shifts if required.
