Dean of the Faculty of Law

The Law Society of Western Australia is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Law. As a key member of the university community, the successful candidate will provide strategic direction, academic leadership, and community engagement to foster a culture of excellence in legal education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Faculty of Law, aligning with the university's mission and vision.
  • Develop and implement academic programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the legal profession and the community.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, industry partners, and government agencies.
  • Oversee the management of faculty resources, including budgeting, staffing, and facilities.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Law or a related field.
  • Proven track record of academic leadership, including experience in curriculum development, teaching, and research.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the legal profession and the needs of the community.
