About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Animation Pipeline Specialist to join our team at DNEG. As a key member of our production technology department, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining efficient animation pipelines that meet the high standards of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new tools and workflows to improve animation efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with animation supervisors, leads and artists to understand their needs and develop solutions to support them
  • Work closely with other departments, such as layout and rigging, to ensure seamless integration and communication
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of tools and workflows
  • Act as a bridge between artists and the production technology department, providing technical advice and support

Requirements

  • Significant production experience in Maya and Linux (minimum 5 years)
  • Good experience with Jira and Shotgun (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience managing/mentoring small teams of animators or pipe TDs (minimum 2 years)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
