Job Title: Mental Health Professional - Outreach Team
">This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mental Health Professional in the Outreach Team. The position will involve providing mental health services to individuals in need, working closely with other healthcare professionals and community members.
">About the Role:

- The Outreach Team provides mental health services to individuals in rural and remote areas, including crisis response, assertive follow-up, psychosocial support, safety planning, recovery/wellness planning, individual peer support, advocacy, and collaborative identification of community supports.">
- The successful candidate will work alongside peer workers to provide recovery-oriented support for people who are in crisis.">
- The position will provide support to Broken Hill and surrounding communities, primarily via face-to-face and telehealth communications.">
Key Responsibilities:

- To provide mental health services to individuals in need, working closely with other healthcare professionals and community members.">
- To develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.">
- To participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.">
- To contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that promote mental health and well-being.">
Requirements:
">- ">
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers.">
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a mental health setting.">
- An applied understanding of the principles of person-centred care, trauma-informed care, and recovery, as well as working with Aboriginal people in a holistic, collaborative, and respectful way.">
- A willingness to work shift work, including after-hours and weekends as required.">
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and competence in computer skills.">
