Market Intelligence Role

We seek a seasoned researcher to provide critical market intelligence on the seaborne metallurgical coal and coke sector.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze supply and demand dynamics in the global metallurgical coal market.
  • Deliver daily and weekly price reports, leveraging expertise in market fundamentals and drivers of pricing.
  • Conduct research and write about key issues affecting supply-side economics, including policy developments, geopolitics, investment climates, and environmental social governance.
  • Be an integral part of the production team for our daily metallurgical coal publication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with industry sources and clients through effective communication and networking.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to support sales efforts and maintain sales pipelines.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a reporter or researcher in the commodity space, preferably in financial reporting or market analysis.
  • A keen instinct for news and storytelling abilities are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are must-haves.
  • Strong quantitative skills are advantageous.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail are crucial.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
