Senior Mental Health Occupational Therapist

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clients to improve their mental health, daily functioning, and overall wellbeing. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients' functional abilities, daily routines, and psychosocial needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional abilities, daily routines, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions to enhance independence, coping strategies, and life participation.
- Support clients in building skills for self-care, work, education, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals to provide holistic, person-centred care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and monitor progress to ensure clients achieve meaningful outcomes.
This is a permanent part-time position (0.4 FTE) based at our centre in Roselands. There are opportunities for growth and development within the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments to identify clients' strengths, challenges, and goals.
- Develop tailored intervention plans that address clients' specific needs.
- Provide support and guidance to clients to help them build skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Document client progress and outcomes to inform future service planning.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working with diverse client groups and presenting with varying levels of complexity.
