Demand and Inventory Coordinator

The Demand and Inventory Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and control of inventory and logistics to meet Service and Sales targets.

Optimal stock levels are maintained through accurate forecasting, inventory management, and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demand & Supply Planning:
    • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for machines and spare parts using data analysis and statistical tools.
    • Analyse historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and inventory data to create and adjust forecasts.
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer and business requirements while avoiding excess stock.
    • Coordinate the release and communication of demand and supply plans to relevant stakeholders, including managing critical updates and modifications.
    • Support global and regional spare parts optimisation efforts and minimise non-rotating stock.
    • Collaborate with supply planning, repair centres, and service teams to ensure inventory availability and alignment with operational needs.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying root causes, tracking forecast accuracy, and participating in supply chain projects.
    • Provide business intelligence reporting and consumption analytics to support purchasing and inventory decisions.
    • Ensure effective and timely fulfilment of ad hoc orders.
    • Work closely with the Supply Planning team to improve stock health and create linkages with service and repair centre activities to maximise utilisation of repair inventory.
    • Develop and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for planning processes and systems.
    Inventory Management & Control:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems (e.g. Oracle).
    • Perform regular cycle counts and full stock audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
    • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to ensure inventory availability and accuracy.
    • Manage slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock, ensuring alignment with demand.
    • Generate reports and data analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
    • Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, policies, and best practices.
    • Support the development and improvement of inventory control processes.
    Logistics & Order Fulfilment:
    • Execute end-to-end purchase and logistics processes, ensuring accurate delivery timelines are provided to the business.
    • Optimise logistics costs and support inbound/outbound shipping operations.
    • Handle logistics-related claims, including lost or damaged goods.
    • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
    Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with stakeholders and internal teams including Sales and global Supply Chain teams to achieve commercial and service goals.
    • Maintain open communication with warehouses, operations, and purchasing teams to support integrated planning and inventory processes.
    • Provide regular reporting and KPI analysis to aid in performance tracking, decision-making and improvement initiatives.
    • Collaborate with international repair centres to address parts quality and availability issues.
    Health & Safety:
    • Adhere to Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
    • Ensure the prompt and accurate reporting of all workplace incidents and injuries.
    • Ensure all hazards are promptly assessed for their significances and managed according to the hazard management process.

For this role, we are looking for individuals with a solid background in sales planning and opportunity management, as well as proven ability to analyse data and trends to forecast demand accurately.

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is required, with proficiency in managing effective inventory levels, safety stock and reorder points. Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software (e.g. Oracle JDE, SAP or similar) is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with high degree of proficiency in Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective stakeholder management ability, deadline-focused approach, high level of professionalism, ability to operate as an integral team member and strong commercial acumen are also essential.
