Parent Pathways Mentor in the Hunter Region

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Parent Pathways Mentor in the Hunter Region. As a Mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering parents to achieve their educational and career goals, ultimately contributing to their long-term economic security.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to parents, empowering and encouraging them throughout the program. You will build trusted relationships with participants, providing an elevated level of customer care and professional support.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance to participants, helping them to achieve their unique program objectives.
  • Foster meaningful interaction through regular appointments, guiding participants to achieve their goals.
  • Identify and address barriers to employment, referring participants to relevant community support services and providing ongoing support.
  • Facilitate job placements with local employers for job-ready participants and provide continuous support to ensure lasting employment success.
Requirements:
  • A minimum Certificate III qualification in Employment Services, Community Services or other relevant areas.
  • Previous experience in case management, employment services or social services is highly regarded.
  • Relevant lived experience is highly valued, enriching our support for participants experiencing barriers.
