Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Community Development Officer to join our team and contribute to the growth of vibrant, liveable spaces in emerging communities within the ACT.

The successful candidate will have experience in community development and be passionate about empowering communities and creating meaningful change.

They will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A proven track record in community development and/or understanding of the concept of Community Development.
  • A Diploma of Community Services / Community Development or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to lead projects and social support groups.
  • Collaboration with local organisations to create sustainable solutions.
  • Volunteer recruitment, coordination, and support for key programs.

  • 18 hours per fortnight plus opportunity for additional hours.

  • Hourly rate – $44.58 – $47.97 commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus 11.5% superannuation.
