**Role Overview:**
This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals in our community. As a Community Phone Connect volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing reassurance and companionship to those who need it most.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others. You will be responsible for conducting scheduled well-being phone calls to clients, arranging shift coverage when necessary, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact registered participants according to your rostered schedule.
- Arrange shift coverage if unable to fulfill your commitment.
- Conduct weekly well-being calls with assigned clients.
- Accurately record data in Carelink (training provided).
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of client records.
- Follow all DPV Health procedures and guidelines.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Strong listening skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Empathy for older individuals and people with disabilities.
- Experience supporting the ageing community (professionally or personally).
- Genuine desire to help others and promote social well-being.
- Interest in working with individuals experiencing disability, ageing, or mental health challenges.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Professional and respectful representation of the organisation.
- Basic computer proficiency (training on Carelink provided).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
