Patient Optimisation Coordinator

This role involves playing a pivotal part in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, from initial referral to surgery. The focus lies on optimising patient preparation and streamlining surgical pathways to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of planned surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Comprehensive patient assessment and readiness for surgery evaluation.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support patient optimisation.
- Maintaining compliance with departmental policies and clinical information systems.
- Enhancing theatre efficiency through effective list planning.
- Facilitating collaborative partnerships with other health services.
- Providing expert clinical knowledge and leadership within the unit.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse who is committed to providing high-quality, safe, and person-centred care. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant post-graduate qualification or extensive relevant clinical experience.
- Demonstrated skills in acute nursing care.
- Effective management, communication, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Innovation, resourcefulness, and adaptability to change.
- Perioperative/Surgical nursing experience.
- Commitment to high-quality, safe, and person-centred care.
