Rental Operations Manager - A Key Leadership Position

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in our Western Australian branch. As a Rental Operations Manager, you will be responsible for guiding our rental operations through growth and change, while keeping our team running smoothly.

The rental environment can be fast-paced and complex, so we are looking for someone who is resilient, people-focused, and always thinking about the bigger picture. This role involves working with a wide variety of people who all connect with us in different ways, requiring confidence, adaptability, and sound judgment to build respect and drive positive outcomes.

We are seeking someone with experience in the transport or rental industry who wants to grow and challenge themselves. This is a leadership position that brings variety, responsibility, and real impact.

  • Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead a small, tight-knit team of 2 (an Equipment Services & Rental Coordinator), providing regular feedback and actively supporting their development.
  • Drive a great branch culture, keeping the culture positive and collaborative among a team of 5 from different functions, plus visiting team members from across the business.
  • Champion continuous improvement, constantly looking for ways to improve systems and processes for a smooth customer experience, while also working on your own growth and expertise.
  • Handle complex conversations with customers and suppliers with confidence, ensuring things are resolved quickly and respectfully.
  • Get stuck in when needed, rolling up your sleeves to help out when things get busy.
  • Think long-term, making decisions that reflect a broader business view, balancing short-term wins with long-term impact for our people, customers, and suppliers.
  • Be a visible leader, building strong relationships throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Own customer relationships, staying closely connected with our Perth customers.
  • Grow the customer base, developing new customer relationships through networking and building trust.
  • Collaborate with other branches, forecasting seasonal fleet requirements, managing relocations and refurbishments, and aligning on systems and processes.
  • Manage tough situations thoughtfully, navigating conversations with care and confidence, ensuring the right outcomes for all parties.
