Key Leadership Role - Rental & Used

We are seeking a strong strategic leader to join our team as Operations Manager. This exciting opportunity will involve leading and growing our Cat Rental and Used businesses across Victoria and Tasmania.

About the Job
  • Drive your geographically dispersed team to deliver on performance objectives of both the business and Caterpillar.
  • Improve operational efficiencies, enhancing customer and employee experience.
  • Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented in all areas of responsibility.
  • Oversee utilisation of resources, facilities, systems, plant, and equipment to ensure value for money for customers.
  • Collaborate with Cat rental and used teams, wider Caterpillar, customers, and suppliers.
  • Represent Cat Rental and Used within industry associations, events, and customer activities.
  • Ensure business is conducted in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
About You
  • A high performing, passionate leader who thrives on exceeding customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, understand and anticipate business needs, and resolve competing demands.
  • Superior engagement, negotiating, and influencing skills with people to achieve agreed strategic objectives.
  • Extensive experience leading Sales & Operations teams, ideally with exposure to heavy machinery industry.
  • Strong project, people, and commercial management skills.
  • Sound conflict resolution, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance customer, business, and people needs.
  • Ability to improve performance through effective coaching and management.
  • Dedicated commitment to safety and quality work practices.
  • Formal qualifications in sales, marketing, or business considered favourably.
