Lead Strategic Operations and Technical Development

Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced professionals to lead our strategic operations and technical development initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist expertise to find solutions to complex technical problems and provide technical guidance, mentoring, advice, and assistance to staff across the organization.

You will leverage your broad and/or deep technical knowledge to provide technical leadership across the organization and shape the technical direction of your section or branch. You will consistently identify opportunities outside of your current role to deliver wider business benefit and have a proven ability to operate across a range of different technical areas bringing value to our business and usefully transferring experience from one area to the next.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level advice to senior managers on complex matters relating to strategy, policy, or key partnerships.
  • Lead strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives and programs aimed at achieving broad agency objectives.
  • Anticipate and assess the impact of changes in Government and/or international policy and strategy, and initiate and contribute to appropriate responses.
  • Promote and manage key strategic relationships with industry and/or international partners, to achieve organizational outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, clear direction, and management to a diverse team, to deliver high-quality products and advice.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading others in the delivery of complex work programs, including the ability to provide advice that influences strategic direction.
  • Strong communication, engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on outcomes.
