Home Support Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Assistant to join our team. As a Home Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support services to clients in their own homes.

Your role will involve assisting with daily living tasks such as light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. You will also provide social support and transportation for clients to attend appointments and engage in social activities.

You will work independently with a roster of repeat clients in your local area, building relationships and delivering tailored support that respects each client's dignity and encourages independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks including light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Provide social support and transportation for clients to attend appointments and engage in social activities
  • Notice and report changes in clients' well-being
Requirements:
  • At least one year's experience in In-Home or Commercial cleaning, or of Support Work, preferably within a medical, aged care or NDIS environment
  • Current and clear Criminal Record Check
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Reliable, registered and fully-insured vehicle
