Warehouse General Hand Position

The role of a Warehouse General Hand is to ensure the efficient and secure management of warehouse operations.

This involves unloading containers from freight providers, storing goods in the warehouse, and managing inventory levels.

Additionally, you will be responsible for moving goods in and out of the workshop as required, assisting with unloading and loading of freight providers, and picking orders accurately and efficiently.

Other key responsibilities include supporting the Workshop Technical Support Co-ordinator and staff with pre-commissioning of small engineering machinery, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and taking direction from a supervisor.

Requirements
  • A valid forklift licence is essential for this position.
  • Physically fit individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment are highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's licence is also necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Punctuality and a positive work ethic are crucial for success in this role.
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred but not necessary.
  • Ability to take direction from a supervisor is essential.
  • Seeking a stable long-term position is a must.
  • Team-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative environment are ideal.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, is required.
