The key role of a Project Officer involves providing effective administration to technical Information Communications and Technology (ICT) projects within a program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and successful completion of procurement submissions and supporting documentation in accordance with Commonwealth legislation and agency procurement guidelines and procedures.
  • Contribute to financial planning and budgeting, and collate required financial data and reports for analysis and decision-making.
  • Deliver contract management support, including contract variations, receipt and review of contract deliverables, and administration of contract closures.
  • Provide project administration support, including schedule maintenance, risks and issues tracking, financial administration, and resource management.
  • Offer general administrative support, including management of project record keeping requirements and systems, secretariat support for project meetings and forums, and development of agreements, briefs, minutes, and other communications.

For this role, you will require demonstrated experience in managing and supporting complex ICT projects, excellent organisational and communication skills, and knowledge of technology capability lifecycle, project and program assurance, and risk management.
