Lead Program Officer

About the Role
This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development, implementation and management of programs that support the delivery of high-quality services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, with expertise in policy development, project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental objectives;
- Provide advice on complex operational issues related to program delivery;
- Coordinate day-to-day operations to deliver on project outcomes;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement whole-of-government policy initiatives;
- Analyze and provide recommendations on innovative approaches to new trends and issues impacting service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families;
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a 'C' class driver's licence and be willing to undertake intrastate travel for short periods.
Desirable Qualifications
A degree and/or post graduate studies in a related field is highly desirable. Extensive experience in tertiary child protection practice is also highly valued.
