Heat Treatment Specialist Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Heat Treatment Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy and the ability to work with various metal types.

The Heat Treatment Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. This includes identifying and eliminating hazards, investigating accidents, and overseeing corrective actions.

In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess effective communication and leadership skills. They will also be able to lead continuous improvement initiatives and specialise in heat treatment of steels and other metals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Hazard Elimination: Identify and eliminate hazards and risks to people, equipment, and the environment.
  • Accident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, and oversee corrective actions until completion.
  • Quality Delivery: Deliver high-quality products and services at low costs and optimal delivery times.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives through lean program principles.
  • Specialisation: Specialise in heat treatment of steels and other metals using various techniques.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgy or Materials Science.
  • Experience: Relevant industry experience (10+ years).
  • Skills: Effective communication and leadership skills, compliance with safety regulations, staff supervision and coaching abilities, understanding of international standards such as ISO 9001 and AMS2750.
