About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our groundwater modeling team. As a virtual team lead, you will collaborate closely with state-based groundwater and surface water team leaders to deliver solutions for our clients.

The successful candidate will work directly with technical discipline managers and directors to implement business strategies that align with global priorities. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow our groundwater modeling practice and expand our presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a virtual team of 11 people across multiple offices
  • Develop and execute business plans to drive growth and expansion
  • Collaborate with technical staff to deliver project solutions
  • Contribute to winning work by identifying opportunities and leveraging client relationships
  • Mentor junior staff and develop their careers

Requirements:

  • 7-20 years of industry experience as a hydrogeologist, including consultancy experience
  • An appropriate Engineering or Science tertiary qualification
  • A strong technical background in numerical modeling, hydrogeological conceptualization, groundwater impact assessment, and hydrogeological investigation
  • A thorough understanding of Australian groundwater legislation and guidelines related to resource development and infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing large technical projects, particularly complex groundwater modeling projects
