We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Lotus by Roshana, a part of Roshana Care Group. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food production that meets the standards expected by our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the kitchen team and food production to ensure seamless service across all meal periods, meetings, and events.
- Assist the Head Chef in training the team and upholding safety practices in the kitchen.
- Assist with ordering and holding team members accountable for stock rotation.
- Develop and prepare menus and recipes for guests, meetings, and events.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to optimize food quantities, minimize waste, and achieve the best rate of return.
- Regularly inspect and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Ensure all kitchen team members meet restaurant, hygiene, and Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Build strong relationships with guests, team members, and stakeholders.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
- Previous experience in Ala carte and managing a kitchen team.
- Strong knowledge of culinary skills and relevant food trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform under high pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and ability to train staff.
- Food safety systems knowledge.
