Senior Open Space Manager Position

Job Opportunity
At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Open Space Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic plans for the management and development of open spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the management and development of open spaces.
- Supervise and manage the Open Space team, including setting goals and objectives, providing training and development opportunities, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and improvement of open spaces, including the implementation of landscaping and horticultural practices, and the planning and construction of new facilities.
- Collaborate with other departments, external stakeholders, and community groups to ensure the effective use and enjoyment of open spaces by the community.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies and procedures.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the Open Space team and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the Open Space team, including the provision of regular updates to the organization.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as parks and recreation management, horticulture, or environmental management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in the management of open spaces, parks, and recreation facilities.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in budget preparation and management.
- Current valid driver's license.
