
Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources professional to join our team as an Employee Relations Specialist.
The ideal candidate will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us plan and administer important functions that support our employees.
This role is responsible for coordinating and administering day-to-day people operations and office management. This includes managing end-to-end recruitment & selection processes, organizing trainings, administering employee payroll benefits and leaves, as well as administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential.
Key Responsibilities- Manage payroll and employee compensation and benefits using HRIS, including bonuses, leaves, and conduct absences administration.
- Responsible for fortnightly ANZ payroll processing.
- Recruit and select candidates through job posting on internal and external job board websites and social media platforms.
- Build strong relationships with the management team and support their HR-related matters.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to drive People and Wellbeing initiatives across the business.
You will also be responsible for:
- Managing workers compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- Coordinating employee satisfaction surveys and providing actionable insights to improve employees' experience.
- Overseeing compliance with labour laws and regulations.
- Recommending and developing employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship.
- Maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions according to HR objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks in accordance with the needs of the business and available resources.
- High resistance to pressure in a fast-paced organization.
- Strong teamwork and conflict management skills.
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of HRIS, Excel, and database management.
It is desirable but not necessary to have specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labour relations. A degree in Law, Psychology or equivalent is required, along with at least 2-4 years of experience in a relevant HR role.
