Project Control and Governance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Control and Governance Coordinator to join our team at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. As a key member of our Assets and Technology Branch, you will play a critical role in the planning, development, and administration of major Antarctic and Sub-Antarctic infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advice on project planning, development, and administration, ensuring compliance with government regulations and policies.
- Implement project governance and controls, including risk and issue mitigation, and management.
- Support government approvals and ensure that all project activities are aligned with the Australian Government's Antarctic goals.
- Work closely with internal and external project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement project control processes, including project plans, risk management, and issue tracking.
- Prepare accurate and concise reports on project status and outcomes, including cost and schedule monitoring.
- Identify and respond to non-commercial legal and legislative issues.
- Demonstrated experience in project governance and control, preferably in the infrastructure and construction industry.
- Knowledge of complex project governance models, including Design & Construction, Alliances, Public, Private Partnership, or similar.
- Experience in risk and issue mitigation, and management.
- Awareness of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR's), Public Works Committee, and Environmental processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification from an Australian tertiary institution, or a comparable overseas institution, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Citizenship - Must be an Australian citizen.
- Security Clearance - Baseline Vetting security clearance required.
