Job Title: Train Operations Specialist

The key objective of this role is to ensure the safe transportation of passengers. This involves maintaining open communication with drivers via radio, monitoring passenger numbers at each stop, and capturing data using various apps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service & Information: Provide assistance to passengers, respond to queries, and offer information via a public address system.
  • Train Preparation: Ensure trains are clean and functional prior to departure.
  • Fare Management: Handle ticket sales, check tickets, and provide fare advice during train services.
  • Platform Duties: Oversee train departures and assist with luggage at stations.
  • Coach Duties: Manage coaches during planned and unplanned disruptions and events.
  • Fault Reporting: Identify and report any equipment or facility issues.
  • Emergency Management: Prepare for and respond to service disruptions and emergencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Completion of Conductor Training Course.
  • First Aid Certification – Level 2.
  • Food Hygiene Certification for food handlers – Level 1.
  • Track Awareness.
  • Familiarity with computer applications.
  • Commitment to customer service.
  • Personable, with team focus.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
