Apprenticeship Duties

  • Gaining hands-on experience across commercial landscapes throughout Sydney.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with strong on-the-job learning.
  • Assisting in the delivery of high-quality garden and turf maintenance across diverse sites.
  • Applying herbicides and pesticides safely under supervision.
  • Learning plant identification, seasonal care routines, and pest/disease recognition.
  • Participating in TAFE training combining theory with practical assessments.
  • Collaborating with experienced tradespeople and working as part of a dedicated landscape team.
  • Progressing toward completion of Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.
  • Developing technical skills in planting, pruning, soil improvement, and plant health care.
  • Operating horticultural machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Supporting the upkeep and minor repairs of irrigation systems.

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in getting trade qualified.
  • An interest in pursuing a career in the Landscape/Horticulture Industry.
  • Someone who wants a career with many opportunities for advancement.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday with 1 day at Tafe.
