Role Overview

As a vital member of the leadership team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the financial outcomes of projects by collaborating with operational teams to streamline daily processes, supplying management with accurate data and insights for informed decision-making, and executing regular budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team dedicated to ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and financial reporting systems, adhering to company policies and deadlines. This encompasses revenue recognition, cost accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Evaluate and enhance performance against established targets, including revenue, EBITDA, net working capital, and operating cash flow.
  • Generate analyses and reports to fulfill internal and client financial reporting needs, aiding decision-making processes. This includes creating financial and operational dashboards in Power BI, conducting monthly performance reviews, and calculating KPI data.
  • Engage in regular contract assessments, providing insights into contract performance, risks, opportunities, and improvement strategies.
  • Conduct annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities.
  • Work collaboratively with client representatives to address inquiries and fulfill deliverables efficiently.
  • Promote continuous improvement in end-to-end processes, including purchase to pay, order to cash, recruitment to onboarding, and payroll.
  • Guide and develop direct reports, leveraging individual and team strengths to achieve project objectives.

Candidate Profile

To excel in the role of Finance Manager, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting.
  • CA or CPA accreditation.
  • Demonstrated experience in a project accounting setting, with a preference for high-volume projects.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong working relationships with diverse cross-functional stakeholders and direct reports.
  • Ability to influence and engage with senior client personnel, management, and all levels of the project delivery team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) is essential.
  • Experience with SAP is required.
  • Power BI skills are highly desirable.
  • Experience in financial analysis and modeling is advantageous.
