Job Opportunity

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

We are currently seeking a Trades Assistant to assist Fitters in the day-to-day running of the Muswellbrook Reman Facility.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in store control involving receiving and dispatch of reman items
  • Cleaning and repairing of reman components as per procedures
  • Disassembling components in line with procedures when required
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and packaging units ready for dispatch
  • Operating forklifts
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A safety focus and ability to abide by site safety processes
  • Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
  • Have an understanding of mining, earthmoving and/or construction equipment
  • Be able to recognise basic product quality deviations/faults
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when required
  • Forklift License and spray-painting experience will be advantageous
