Job Description:As a Graduate Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting industrial refrigeration projects with opportunities for professional growth and hands-on engineering experience.
- Performing detailed calculations and designs for efficient refrigeration solutions.
- Preparing estimates and tender submissions for minor and major project work, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Evaluating and modifying existing refrigeration plants to meet client requirements, promoting innovation and efficiency.
- Providing excellent customer support, collaborating with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Managing projects, including supplier negotiations, design coordination, procurement, resource allocation, and project administration, ensuring seamless execution.
- Controlling project costs, ensuring successful project completion, and conducting regular forecasting, maintaining transparency and accountability.
- Preparing risk assessments and ensuring compliance with health and safety systems for all equipment and project work, upholding the highest standards of safety.
- Project scheduling using MS Project, utilizing cutting-edge tools to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Developing knowledge of applicable Australian and International standards and ensuring compliance, staying updated on industry developments.
- Drafting for small projects and manufacturing using AutoCAD and hand sketches, applying creativity and technical expertise.
- Liaising with mechanical designers, boilermakers, and other tradespersons to facilitate safe and efficient equipment designs, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Completing safety and engineering audits of refrigeration systems on site and compiling client reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Contributing to the continuous development of internal systems to streamline engineering and project management functions, driving process improvements.
- Completing administrative duties related to engineering and project management, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Supervising and assisting with commissioning new plants as appropriate, delivering exceptional results and exceeding expectations.
- Assisting with delivering training for internal and external technical personnel, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Supporting the service department with engineering and small contracting support, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Taking reasonable care for health and safety and cooperating with management to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, prioritizing employee well-being.
- Performing duties as assigned by the supervisor, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
- Supporting front-line delivery of services to customers in line with contractual obligations or as directed by the Projects Leader, Engineering Lead, or Branch Manager, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Providing outstanding levels of customer satisfaction, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Developing expertise in all systems under our control, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Maintaining a proactive approach to rectifying incidents before they arise, preventing issues and promoting a safe working environment.
- Maintaining a neat and clean appearance while representing us, upholding the company image.
- A tertiary qualification (minimum B.Eng.) in Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering, preferably from a reputable institution.
- The ability to create, read, and interpret drawings, showcasing technical proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- A proactive approach and ability to work autonomously, leveraging initiative and self-motivation.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
- Keenness to learn and develop through contact with various professionals, including fabricators, consultants, and tradespeople, embracing lifelong learning.
- A current valid driver's license, facilitating travel and logistics.
- Current right to work in Australia, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including reference checks, medical, criminal record check, and drug & alcohol testing, upholding integrity and trustworthiness.
