Electrical Scholarships and Career Growth

We are committed to creating opportunities for First Peoples in the electrical industry through career pathways. We recognize the financial barriers to undertaking study and are offering scholarships for those undertaking a Pre-Apprenticeship Cert II in Electrotechnology.

The scholarship aims to assist individuals with costs associated with studying, such as tools, clothing, rent, childcare, or to supplement income. The program runs across various countries for those interested in a career in the electrical industry.

Successful applicants will also undertake hands-on training at our depots, including:

  • Introduction to power tools
  • Recruitment support (covering CVs, aptitude testing, interview preparation)

Students in the program will be provided personal protective equipment for their studies.

We encourage women and non-binary individuals to explore opportunities in electrical engineering. The program offers a three-year scholarship that includes:

  • Financial assistance of $5,000 – $10,000 annually
  • 12 weeks of paid work experience in the penultimate year
  • A personal mentor throughout the program
  • Automatic consideration for our graduate engineering assessment day

Applications are invited from students at:

  • University of Melbourne: Bachelor of Science, specializing in Electrical Systems
  • RMIT University: Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, specializing in Power Engineering

Our scholarship supports individuals undertaking a Pre-Apprenticeship Cert II in Electrotechnology. It aims to increase the number of women in trades by supporting those motivated to enter the electrical industry.

The scholarship is awarded based on commitment and motivation to succeed in the electrical industry. Funds can be used for fees, tools, personal protective equipment, clothing, rent, childcare, or income supplementation during studies.

Recipients are considered for our apprenticeship program when it opens. Applications are reviewed three times annually.

Vacation Program

This program is designed for students entering their final undergraduate year in electrical or mechatronics engineering. It offers paid work experience over 12 weeks, providing insight into our operations and exposure to real projects.

Participants work with skilled professionals, solving problems and delivering outcomes, with full mentorship support. Participation also includes automatic consideration for our graduate program.
