
Family Support Specialist

This role is a vital part of our Family Capacity Building Program in Eurobodalla, where you will be working with vulnerable families and children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver family-focused and outcome-driven services to families experiencing complex issues.
- Collaborate closely with clients to reduce risks and create positive change within home environments.
- Support families in meeting their needs, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care.
- Develop and implement case plans in collaboration with families and other service providers.
- Ensure that the voices of clients and families are heard in case planning and goal setting.
- Foster respectful relationships with stakeholders, government departments, and the community for seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in the Human Services field (Diploma of Community Services or equivalent; Degree qualifications preferred).
- Practical experience in working with vulnerable families and an ability to identify children and young people at risk.
- Demonstrated expertise in client-centred case management.
- Knowledge of the Community Services sector, trauma and its impacts, crisis impacts on families, child protection issues, and legislation.
