Program Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Program Management Specialist to support leading Defence and maritime delivery programs with multiple contract opportunities.
This role forms part of the project controls function, supporting complex, large-scale programs with a focus on cost, schedule, and risk performance. The successful candidate will provide guidance to more junior team members and offer location flexibility.
- Leading project controls activities with a focus on cost, schedule, risk, and Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and performance baselines
- Supporting reporting cycles through variance analysis, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement
- Contributing to planning reviews and ensuring data accuracy for effective decision-making
- Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Ensuring compliance with internal standards and program requirements
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in senior project controls or planning roles within complex, large-scale programs and strong expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and their practical application.
We are looking for a professional who can lead and mentor junior team members, possess excellent analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and delivering timely insights, and demonstrate effective communication skills to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Requirements- Proven experience in senior project controls or planning roles within complex, large-scale programs
- Strong expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and their practical application
- Advanced skills in project scheduling and cost control software (e.g., Primavera P6, COBRA, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and delivering timely insights
- Effective communication skills, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
