Job Opportunity: Instrument Technician

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Instrument technician to join our team on a part-time basis.

We are responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMDs) for Surgery, Endoscopy, and other areas of the hospital. Our team is skilled, friendly, supportive, and dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in reprocessing of medical equipment.

This will be an opportunity to develop your career in the sterilising service.

About You

  • Grade IV certificate in Sterilising Services
  • Experience in Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD)
  • Ability to work flexible rosters including weekends and public holidays
  • BASIC computer skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Experience or knowledge of decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments in accordance with AS/NZ 5369 (2023) is required.

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza prior to commencing employment.
