Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Collections Officer. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience in banking or lending, particularly in recoveries or collections.

The successful candidate will play a key part in resolving complex and sensitive customer accounts, managing their own portfolio of impaired accounts, and collaborating with customers, internal and external stakeholders, to maximize recovery of troubled loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve complex customer accounts using sound judgment and expertise to recommend tailored solutions that balance customer care with business outcomes.
  • Engage with customers over the phone, identify hardship triggers, and work with key stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure all actions comply with relevant policies and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate records for transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • Prior banking or lending experience, especially involving recoveries or collections, is essential.
  • Specialized knowledge in corporate recovery and insolvency practices is advantageous.
  • Natural problem-solvers with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as confidence navigating complex situations.
