Senior Collections Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Collections Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in resolving troubled and impaired accounts to take on a challenging and rewarding role.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of impaired accounts and collaborating with customers, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to maximize recovery of troubled loans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers over the phone to resolve issues and identify hardship triggers.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop tailored solutions that balance customer care with business outcomes.
  • Manage complex and sensitive customer accounts, using your judgment to recommend solutions that meet both customer needs and business requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior banking or lending experience, particularly in recoveries or collections.
  • Specialized knowledge in corporate recovery and insolvency practices is a plus.
  • Natural problem-solving skills, strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and confidence navigating complex situations.
  • The ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
