Job Description

As a policy advisor, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing Australia's trade and investment policies.

You will work closely with government officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and development, and to develop and implement strategies to achieve these goals.

Key areas of focus include economic security, simplifying trade, transition to net zero, and international relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Inform key government trade and investment policy development and agencies' development of related policies and strategies.
  • Support continued Austrade alignment with government policy priorities relevant to Austrade's mandate.
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Security clearance (Baseline).
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining good relationships across teams and agencies.
  • Keenness to work in a fast-paced, diverse, and cross-cultural workplace and network to produce tangible and practical outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate trends, challenges, and opportunities to senior officials.
