Deputy Secretary, Economic Strategy and Productivity

The Deputy Secretary, Economic Strategy and Productivity plays a pivotal role in driving the Government's economic policy initiatives on a whole-of-government basis. With a focus on delivering sustained productivity, participation, and prosperity, this individual will lead a high-performing team to achieve exceptional results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and executive leadership to the Economic Strategy and Productivity Group;
  • Leading a high-performing team to deliver the Government's economic and tax revenue policy initiatives;
  • Developing and implementing economic policies that drive growth, sustainability, and wellbeing in NSW;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to inform budget decision-making and develop policies that drive economic growth and sustainability;
  • Providing expert advice to inform budget decision-making and drive informed public discussion.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading high-performing teams;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Sound knowledge of economic policy, with experience developing and implementing policies that drive growth and sustainability;
