**Job Description:**

Casino Christian School is an exciting, growing K-12 school of 350 students. Located in a peaceful, semi-rural setting, we provide families with an opportunity for high-quality, Christian education.

We offer a secure and caring learning environment that caters to a diverse range of learners. Our school is governed by the Presbyterian Church of NSW and affiliated with both Christian Schools Australia and the Association of Independent Schools NSW.

Due to our increased growth, we are seeking committed Christians for the position of Secondary Teacher as demonstrated by their active involvement in their local protestant church and consistent Christian lifestyle.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Well-developed organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed digital literacy skills and familiarity with Microsoft and Google products.
  • Teaching Qualifications from a higher education institution within Australia or as recognised within the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition guidelines.
  • Appropriate registration with NESA.
  • A current Working with Children Check.

The ideal candidate will be a committed Christian and an active member of a protestant church.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Teach allocated classes to the best of your ability.
  2. Teach extra and in lieu of periods as required to cover staff absences.
  3. Playground and bus duties as per rostered arrangement.
  4. Attendance at parent/teacher interviews as arranged by the school.
  5. Attendance at rostered staff meetings.
  6. Supervision of extra and co-curricular activities if required.
  7. Work professionally in abiding by the school's systems and procedures.
  8. Maintain your personal Christian Lifestyle.

**Personal/Professional Growth:**

  • Continually develop a greater understanding of Christ-centred education.
  • Attend and participate in relevant professional development to provide best practice education.
  • Provide and receive written and verbal feedback on classroom practice.

**Student Welfare:**

  • Keep the Principal/Deputy Principal informed of student needs and progress.
  • Discipline and counsel students as needed.
  • Liaise with parents concerning student welfare.

**Curriculum Development:**

  • Maintain and add to teaching programs relevant to your subjects.
  • Collaboratively plan scope and sequences, teaching programs, and assessment.
