Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Christian Educator. The successful applicant will be a committed Christian and a practicing member of a local Christian church. They will be well-organised, able to function well as a member of a team, and demonstrate a heart for Christian service.

Key Responsibilities

  • To teach secondary students with emotional, social or learning needs in a 'stretched' middle school environment.
  • To plan, prepare and deliver effective teaching and learning programs that align with a Christian worldview.
  • To assess students in a variety of ways and provide effective feedback that leads to improvement.
  • To maintain student records and samples of work.
  • To develop and utilise various practices that ensure learning is prioritised in their classes.

Requirements

  • The successful applicant must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Completed appropriate tertiary qualifications and NESA Proficient Teacher accreditation or working towards.
  • Ability to use a range of teaching strategies that meet student needs individually and collectively.
  • Ability to foster a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with students with additional needs.
  • STEM experience (desirable but not essential).
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
