Life-Changing Opportunity as a Registered Nurse
At our centre, you will have the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives by delivering an exceptional service to donors. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for bringing your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to this rewarding role.
- Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate.
- Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process.
- Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
- Set up machines and collections equipment.
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
- Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation.
To excel in this role, you'll need to be able to:
- Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs.
- Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products.
- Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent).
- Hold a current AHPRA registration.
