Job Title: Healthcare Professional

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team.

  • This is an opportunity for you to work with a diverse group of individuals, making a positive impact on the lives of others.
  • You will be responsible for greeting and interviewing potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate blood products.
  • Your duties will also include completing routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, setting up machines and equipment, and coaching and guiding other team members in the blood collection process.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration. You will need to be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and various tubing and collection bags
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
