Leadership Opportunity in Stormwater Drainage Construction

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Engineering Works crew and contribute to the delivery of the City's annual stormwater drainage program. This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of civil infrastructure construction practices, and experience operating major construction plant.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of engineering construction techniques and standards, as well as the ability to work safely adjacent to public utilities. A current MR class driver's licence, White Card, and Operators certificate are also essential requirements for this position.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the stormwater drainage team and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The team will operate a range of equipment, including backhoes and excavators, and the successful candidate will need to ensure that all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the stormwater drainage team and ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Operate and maintain major construction plant, including backhoes and excavators
  • Ensure all operations are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Contribute to the development of project plans and schedules
  • Monitor and report on project progress and performance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current MR class driver's licence
  • White Card
  • Operators certificate
  • Sound knowledge of civil infrastructure construction practices
  • Sound knowledge of engineering construction techniques and standards
  • Ability to work safely adjacent to public utilities
