Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drainage Maintenance Worker to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.

About the Role

As a Drainage Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for providing support with the cleaning and maintenance of drainage systems throughout the city. This includes operating a combination eductor and jetting truck with a fellow operator on gullies, manholes, and gross pollutant traps. You will also be involved in periodic maintenance of roads and footpaths, as well as providing a high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.

You will report to the Team Leader Maintenance and be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing advice on areas of expertise to staff, clients, suppliers, and the public and liaising with line management as required;
  2. Coordinating, setting priorities, and leading work groups;
  3. Installing new drainage assets including manhole covers and gully grates with minimal supervision;
  4. Ensuring safe and compliant work practices in accordance with Western Australian Work Health and Safety legislation and the City's safe systems of work.
