Job Description

The Digital Education Officer is responsible for creating and supporting quality learning experiences using digital media for students undertaking study in the Faculty of Law and Justice. These learning experiences are created in partnership with academic and professional staff colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage digital media production services to support staff in the faculty, including ideation, development, and review of learning and teaching focused resources such as video and audio.
  • Collaborate with education design and quality team members on digital education projects and tasks under the guidance of the education design and quality manager and/or educational designer.
  • Manage the physical digital media resources of the team and faculty studio space, including advising on procurement, storage facilities, equipment servicing, and internal loans and booking of studio facilities.
  • Review, analyze, and report on the use of physical resources and educational assets being used in faculty programs and courses to ensure a consistent level of quality across all programs.
  • Provide support to academic staff regarding creation, management, and use of digital assets to deliver quality learning experiences for students.
  • Create and maintain training resources and offer training to law and justice staff on the use and creation of digital media in learning and teaching.
Requirements:
  • A qualification (bachelor's degree or higher) in media production, digital communications, or related area, or equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of training, education, or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and publishing media from conceptualization through development, acquisition, and post-production phases with strong project management skills and experience coordinating multimedia projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products including Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Understanding of the educational/learning design process and the role digital media plays in meeting student learning outcomes and staff expectations.
  • Ability to work proactively, flexibly, and productively as an effective team member and meet multiple deadlines.
