Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our team on a temporary basis for 3-6 months, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will have excellent exposure across end-to-end payroll functions and experience working in high volume environments.
About the Role
- Process payroll accurately and on time for 450 employees.
- Manage and update the daily running of the payroll system.
- Enter and upload timesheets.
- Upload and enter weekly and monthly payroll journals into accounting packages.
- Process and lodge monthly superannuation, redundancy, and income protection payments.
- Stay up-to-date with employment legislation and compliance, including award interpretation.
- Respond to payroll queries and assist with employee reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function (2-5 years).
- Prior work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (400-500 employees).
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and compliance, including award interpretation.
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
- Micropay or ELMO experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
