Job Opportunity:
The role of a Health Promotion Officer is a vital position in helping children and young people live their healthiest lives.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the development, delivery and evaluation of health and safety promotion and injury prevention initiatives intended to maintain or improve the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people in NSW and nationally.
This position requires experience working with and/or developing health promotion and harm prevention initiatives for priority populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development, delivery and evaluation of health and safety promotion and injury prevention initiatives
- Work with stakeholders, including families, health and other professionals, government and non-government organisations and the wider community
- Develop and implement evidence-based programs to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent harm
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working in health promotion or a related field
- Strong knowledge of health promotion principles and practices
- Excellent communication and project management skills
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary part-time position. The successful candidate will work 22 hours per week.
