Surveyor Role Overview

As a seasoned Engineering Surveyor with a strong background in road projects, you will play a vital part in the successful delivery of infrastructure initiatives. Your expertise will focus on conducting precise land surveys, set-out, and as-built surveys to ensure construction meets design specifications.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality survey services, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed topographic, boundary, and set-out surveys for road construction and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Utilise advanced survey equipment and technologies to achieve accurate results.
  • Interpret engineering designs and execute them on-site with precision.
  • Provide detailed as-built data and verification surveys.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to meet survey requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and manage survey reports, field notes, and data in compliance with project needs.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Registration as a Surveyor with SBQ.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in engineering surveying, preferably in road projects.
  • Familiarity with Synergy Survey-Profile or equivalent systems for road profiling and surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and 12d for drafting and data management.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in survey data collection and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
